‘The Only Condition is No Condition’

Jubilee South circulated a document at Norway Conference on Conditionality, which articulated its appreciation of the meeting’s intent and welcomed the opportunity for different parties to discuss the use of conditionality by donors and the World Bank on governments of the South. However, Jubilee South regretted that the chosen focus on the undesirability of economic conditionality left the impression that non-economic conditionalities may be desirable or legitimate.
